AGGIES WIN SET 5... 17-15

A much needed win. I don't know if UGA is just a bad matchup for them but Ags needed that after yesterday.

Great win.

Without being a volleyball guru, I think a lot of you complaining aren't taking into account what missing Destiny Cox has done to our attack. We just don't have much room to replace players as good as Cox.

Having said that, we need to stop the service errors. I believe every UGA run in at least the last two sets began with one of our service errors. It's not like we have a lot of killer serves we are trying to get in. That would drive me nuts if I were a coach.

Cox is highly inconsistent. When she is on great, but that isn't always the case. That injury really stinks because she was playing well.

Cox has had one good match in her career at TAMU. And she went down with season ending injury during it. She has been highly hot and cold for season more cold than hot and Rush same way. Rush didn't do defnesivewarm up at all. Hit some during hitting warm up. No idea what is happening there if injury or what.

If Rush doesn't play the rest of season for whatever reason. None of the players on the roster or starting lineup are Bird recruits from high school that play front row. Which means transfer portal. And only Morgan currently from that group. Every other player is Corbelli recruit. This is year four of Bird and granted a Covid year but out of the players that are not DS that played tonight only Morgan is brought by Bird

Cox has all the potential in the world. But from an overall season perspective, she has struggled. Tennessee and TAMUCC are the only matches where she made an impact. Maybe it was a coming out match, who knows. Rush hasn't been an impact player since late her freshmen year. Ennis is not a 6 rotation player at this level.

Hoping next year the hitting depth is there on the pins. Will be our deepest pin team in a long while

But who plays middle ?? Both of the starters could come back if they so choose due to Covid but is there something worth coming back for. A mid tier SEC team??

All our middles that we got last year left the program

See previous, bur middles are questionable. Only one true middle coming in. One 6-7 RS/middle. I personally didn't think she was that great on film. Bowser back next year. Maybe we get one of the middles back, but kind of doubt it with Camielle leaving. It will be very interesting. Thinking atleast 2 impact middle transfers

Our middles are solid. They block well and hit for decent not great percentage. I would take both back in heartbeat and be thankful. The game is played on the pins and first contact and how well you play OOS We don't have to worry about our middles in that instance.

I completely agree, I would take both of them back, no questions asked. Work hard and do everything fairly well

I liked the defensive sub we did in front row with Browser coming in for CiCi and a shift of the players. It didn't do much this time but if this is the lineup going forward it might be good thing. I would have used it more for say two rotations then one maybe but to do so I think from a offensive standpoint London would have to get a bit more comfortable on the RS. CiCi for as "short" as she is gets a lot of touches on the block and gets up for stuff blocks if timing is correct. So that adjustment we made is more for height blocking and getting Lauren on the outside which she terminated well from last night when staying on the outside or first ball on serve receive.
