Texas A&M snaps SEC Tournament skid with win over South Carolina
Powered by Trinity Cannon's three-run double and Shaylee Ackerman's late dominance in the circle, A&M softball earned its first-ever SEC Tournament win after downing South Carolina, 5-3, on Tuesday night. The Aggies will now face fifth-seeded Florida on Wednesday afternoon.

Jo Evans and the Aggies jumped out to an early lead courtesy of a Katie Dack two-run homer in the first, but No. 5 Arkansas refused to be held down as the Razorbacks evened the weekend series by taking down Texas A&M, 7-3.

Underdogs yet again, Texas A&M pulled off another thrilling upset as the Aggies took the series opener from No. 5 Arkansas in nine innings, 6-5. Katie Dack's walk-off single scored Alexis Tippit to secure A&M's sixth SEC win of the year as the Ags fight for a postseason berth.

Lamar cut the Aggies' lead to one run in the last two frames, but Makinzy Herzog was able to notch a save and secure the victory for the Maroon & White, 3-2. Katie Dack's third inning bomb was her eighth of the year and pivotal to the Aggie win.

After taking the first two games of the weekend, Jo Evans and the Aggies eyed the series sweep on Sunday, but Montana Fouts and No. 2 Alabama had other plans as the Crimson Tide salvaged the finale by defeating Texas A&M, 4-2.

Despite falling on Friday and Saturday, the Texas A&M softball team claimed the series finale on Sunday over No. 23 Louisiana State, 5-4. An early homer from Haley Lee set the tone as the Aggie offense recorded 11 hits on the afternoon.

Aggie softball made a triumphant return to Davis Diamond on Friday, kicking off Opening Day of the Aggie Classic with a doubleheader sweep. Run-ruling both games, the Aggies defeated Texas A&M-Corpus Christi, 9-1, before beating UT Arlington, 9-0.
