It's all good. It is just my frustration and opinion. Everyone can feel however they want about sports, championships, and other posts. It is part of forum/internet life. The response was as predictable as I'm sure mine and other posts like it were to them. On we go.

I realize this. Not uncharted for tu or LSU either but I would still hate to see it. Was 100% rooting for UNC. OU joined the SEC and clipped one fast.

Can you explain to me why them joining the SEC is relevant at all?

Would it bother you less if they won it all as a Big 12 team?

Back when my kid was catching for a local HS (Austin area), the 'sips were recruiting (signed later) a pitcher that was on the team.....

Skip would come out to the games and afterwards give a few pointers to my kid about how to catch this pitcher they had their eye on....how to set up, pitching in situations, stuff like that.....nothing earth-shattering, but would really provide great insight into also 'looking at the whole field'.....really good and interesting stuff.....

Really happy for Skip....

It is entirely whining. The whole lamenting "we haven't won a Natty in a sport I care about since I started following Aggie sports" is just flat out lame. BAS is entirely self inflicted. Other fan bases don't laugh at us because we haven't won a Natty deemed worthy enough but our reaction to such. But since so many seem to enjoy it and having said my peace, I'll let those of you who are so inclined to sulk in your pity party without further comment from me.


And no you can't borrow the Eeyore Couch (If you know you know)

It sounds like you're about to imply we somehow deserve a natty in baseball more than OU, and to repeat a cliche, deserve has got nothing to do with it.


Then why do I constantly hear that A&M doesn't put enough money into baseball and basketball to be successful?

OU puts very little money into sports not football. Their ball park is equivalent to lower tier baseball programs in college. Their fan support is nil. Go to a game and find how other school fans will equal or out number OU fans.

If OU can build a success baseball program with very little fan support and money, I don't want to hear excuses about Blue Bell being too small and the investment for the program is not big enough to be successful.

A&M will definitely win a natty. However, with BAS apparently a legitimate thing, it will likely be in football first as basketball and baseball are more fine tuned, cerebral games where BAS could affect the players more in a late game situation. Football is more of a "knock the guy in front of you on his ass" type of sport.

It's not 'cope', I don't care one way or the other that OU in particular won. I'm explaining how a team with a sub-.500 record in conference play lessens the importance of the regular season, as another poster said.

A&M wasn't sub-.500 in 2024, so try to find another comparison.
