After Oklahoma led North Carolina 2-0 in the top of the 3rd inning, North Carolina scored 6 unanswered runs through the 7th inning to defeat Oklahoma 6-2 in game 2 and force a game 3. As a result, North Carolina snapped Oklahoma's 9-game winning streak. Also, North Carolina snapped a 5-game College World Series Final losing streak by winning a World Series Final game for the first time since a 4-3 win over Oregon State in the 2006 World Series Final Game 1 on 6/24/2006.

Moral of the story in the CWS finals.

If you win game 1, you better close it out in 2.

Most of the recent finals that went all 3 games have gone to the team that won the second game (2023 LSU I think is the only exception in the last 10 seasons)

They let Florida wear themselves out running the bases so they were the fresher team for Game 3

UCLA also swept USC (four games in total) who had little trouble abruptly ending our season.
