at least the 2018 team got the Austin regional trip out of the way this year. Such that the Ags probably won't have to come back to Disch-Falk for regional play for another 2 or 3 seasons

Or at least be elite in one or the other. We don't have a single guy that really has either, much less both. A couple of guys that can hit 5-8 HRs, or can steal 10-12 bases. But we don't have anybody that has shown true power, or true speed, even without the other. I do, but it shouldn't take you 7 batters to figure out Chafin doesn't have it. The announcers and fans figured it out after two.
Not to mention you have your catcher make visits to stall. You visit to stall. There are plenty of ways to slow down the game and not let 7 batters bad before you figure it out.
Half the lineup seemingly hit .250 and the All-American just had a "good" season, rarely great. The rotation basically had one-and-a-half good pitchers interchangeably. Bullpen got it together but late.

We did choke to the sips. Just saved ourselves the chance to do it more than once.
I didnt see this team winning 40 games. Very poor defensively and until Dox and Asa got it going, pitching was suspect. We actually got a little better before the starting pitching failed us in this regional. Would love to see us improve next year, but we have to figure out what to do with "several DH" type guys.

Sucks. Looked like Indiana knew what pitch was coming to start the game. No ear piece in regional. They may have picked off RC's sighns. Should have let catcher/pitcher call pitches. Lost the game in the first two dozen pitches.
