They meant don't run into the tag, yes it was a force but make the fielder waste time chasing you back towards first
Now that their center fielder has realized letting us have singles doesn't matter since we will just hit a double play it's gotten much harder to score.

Yes it was a force. But stop, drop, and or run back to first. Make the fielder chase you so you as the runner are the only out on that play.
We did the same thing on a gb to third the other day and let the third baseman make an easy dp...it's the little things that can change outcomes...
