High school baseball in Texas will let you sub a base runner for catchers and pitchers. The catchers make some sense to get your gear back on, but I never understood why they did it for pitchers.


Guess it was an attempt to speed up the game, even though it was only 7 innings to begin with.

How long has this been the case? Definitely want allowed back in old man days. I thought this was ladies softball only, and I hate it there too.
