What does that do to a pitcher's arm? To warm up, throw 2 innings, then rest and have to warm up again?

I remember Stilson pitching quite a few innings in one game, pitching again that day, having a rain delay, and him coming out after it. I felt bad for him.

Eh, all depends on the individual. Good news is that if the delay goes too long and Rob decides to go with somebody else, Brigham should be available to pitch again this weekend. Still expect him to be back on the bump tho.

I can deal with turf as long as the colors actually make it look like a ball field, but Cougar High and tu's fields just look sacrilegious. Maybe the green turf isn't as hot when you stand on it?

In the first inning, was it the right decision for the BU RF to make that catch in foul territory allowing Shewmake to tag? I say you take the out and make the catch in the first inning.

OK, just following along at the office, for those actually watching it and posting... Seriously they have a turf pitchers mound?!?!?!?!?! So, actual turf with a pitching rubber on it?

There are plenty of turf fields, some with dirt around bases and the plate, some with turf around bases and the plate, some with a brown turf infield, some with green turf infield with different color base cutouts.....

But I have NEVER seen a turf pitchers mound. That doesn't seem safe at all.

From google picture search it looks all turf but with a dirt mound, so I guess they have changed it since.

Baseball and soccer are two games that at this level and higher should NEVER be played on turf. I wouldn't even mind if Kyle Field was a very high grade field-turf, but baseball should never be played on turf.

Does the Cougar High basketball court have a hard rubber surface like my 4 year old plays on at Pre-K?!?!?!

Just went to TurfScience University of Arkansas. artificial turf on a 99 degree day will be twice as hot as natural grass. I think they stated that artificial turf would be 199 degrees as compared to 100 degrees on natural. Injuries are extremely high on artificial as well. Just nasty stuff. Ease of maintenance is the reason it is used in majority of cases.
