I wish there was a path that got us to a matchup vs Nebraska, cuz I'm pretty certain someone is gonna hit 15-20 threes against them in this tournament.

It feels like Nebraska is either losing immediately and must face the cosmic truth that they are just never going to win a game or they're going to the Final Four.

The committee is going to give the Ags a team with a strong front court at 8 and the 1 seed with the best for g court.

This team isnt going to the Final Four or Elite Eight no matter what the path is, IMO. Just enjoy the games we do get.

I am not expecting much, but this team is basically a mid-major squad led by a former mid-major coach. Mid-majors are not going to make much noise in the tournament but I can certainly see a lower power conference team do this. Why not us?

Smaller teams dont expect to win. We could make the second weekend if we get hot and lucky, but nobody's screwing is if we draw a hard game. Small teams dont expect to "go on a run" like some here will. If we lose in the first round some here will act like its the end of the world, unfortunately.

VCU making the committee's job very easy in terms of who is in/out. I can't remember a time when there was this much consensus of who the 68 teams are. The only team that is out that really has any case is probably Auburn but they lost 16 games.

Penn...makes their job much harder. The lazy thing to do is insert Penn as a 12 seed, the right thing to do is to make them a 14 and shift up High Point to a 12, North Dakota St. to a 13. We will see how lazy they are.

That was the last game that i think will have any impact on seeding so they can make their brackets final now with no more contingencies. I am putting finishing touches on mine now and have just 1 change from last night upon further reflection, moved Vandy up to a 3 and Nebraska down to a 4. This is partly because that's what it should be and more importantly because with Nebraska as a 3 the committee has a problem on their hands of all the 3 sites are Thursday/Saturday. That cannot occur since the 11 seed play in game, one of them has to play on Friday. The simple switch is moving Vandy and Nebraska, which the data backs it up to do anyways.

Updated. Eliminating Indiana and South Florida. It really is amazing how much consensus there is this year.

Reflecting VSU as the auto bid. I am projecting none of the rest of the games matter for seeding including this finish to Vandy and the Purdue game later.

One of the previous brackets I did earlier had Florida. Miami and UCF all in one bracket in Tampa. Definitely a possibility.

Doing an all geography bracket would be interesting
I do not know how many teams charter but Commercial Travel looks to be bad next week

They are short of charter planes due to a couple of issues including deportation flights so there is an expectation that the selection committee is going to try to take geography more into account when seeding teams this time.

One small tweak that might be helpful is including the "post mortem" of a few more teams that played their way out of consideration especially first team out from each of the major conferences. Definitely some B1G and BDF fans arguing that the SEC has too many spots
