Congratulations to No. 5 San Diego State for upsetting No. 1 Alabama to 71-64 to reach the Elite 8 for first time in school history and becoming the first ever Mountain West team to do that. Unless No. 1 Houston comes back to beat No. 5 Miami, there will won't be a single No. 1 seed in the Elite 8.

The announcer mentioned on the UH broadcast that one of Creighton, Princeton, San Diego St, Florida Atlantic or Kansas State will be in the Final. K State is the only one to make it that far and it was once in the 50s.
