UCONN showing the world what Blue Blood college basketball is all about.

Gonzaga is so close...yet so far away from being a blue blood. Still a mid major after all these years.
Or it's their worst team in years and they still made the elite 8. That's as blue blood as it gets
If you've never won the National Title then you aint a Blue Blood.
It takes more than two Final Fours to consider yourself a Blue Blood program.

Blue Blood isn't about being pretty good.
True Blue Blood programs have sustained success over more than just one coach.

UCONN and Michigan St are Blue Blood basketball programs. Gonzaga is still a pretender after all these years. Two Final Fours aint gonna cut it.

This is UCONN's 5th Final Four since 2000. Michigan St has been to 7 Final Fours since 2000. Each of those schools has won it all.
Multiple coaches have taken UCONN to the Final Four.

Yet you made a strong statement about "blue blood basketball" because Gonzaga lost to a superior opponent in what is a massive down year for them

If Gonzaga is a pretender after the last 15 years I want to be a pretender too!

Losing in final to Baylor didn't do Few any favors. And the run to build the program would not have been tolerated at Kansas, Kentucky, or UNC imho.

But would I take it? Absolutely. Would all of y'all be patient for that nope.

You gotta have more Final Fours. You had to have won your last game of the season at least once.

They are in the real good/above average category......but Blue Blood? Nah.

It rarely does. I'm always entertained by the Aggies stomping their feet about results because of "our resources." Sorry for the derail. Carry on.

When's the last time a team won its Sweet 16 and Elite 8 games both by 20+ points? Gotta be some kinda record, UcOnn beat Ark by 23 points and Gonzaga by 28.
WARNING: I have a deep-seated desire for others to love the Star Wars franchise as much as I do, in exactly the way I do, and get snippy and sensitive and passive-aggressive when they don't.

SDSU. They're deeper and I think their style of play offensively and defensively will wear Creighton down.

Yeah if Creighton can just stay in the fight until late then I like their chances. I feel like they might get stormed in the middle half of the game though

It doesn't mean a thing without the ring.

You fail to grasp the distinction of what makes a Blue Blood program. Part of that distinction is winning Championships (plural).

Sweet 16's are great.....but they don't give out trophy's for Sweet 16's.

They do give out banners for Finals Four.....and Gonzaga would need to get up to about 5 or 6 Final Fours to just be in the conversation without a title to back it up. The two FF they currently have is not enough.

I just read a story that 3 of UCONN's players were fasting yesterday. Two including HD (former Ag) don't get much playing time but must be tough for their center who plays a very physical position. I know other athletes do it, but still seems hard to do.

I don't agree with people who say "you gotta swallow your whistle at the end of the game"

How about you play defense without fouling, you dont get a free pass just because its the last shot
bobinator

Yeah that was the right call all the way around. If there's any complaint it's that he actually fouled him earlier in the play so they should have been shooting one and one and he missed the first one.
