Great idea, when will it start?

Like I said before, it depends on how much crap we gotta go through to make it official, and it'll really depend on how much support it gets from the students and alumni.

no I haven't gotten to talk to him yet, turns out he's a lot busier on monday than I thought. Hopefully I'll get to him by the end of today though.

it'd be very possible to do so. It'd be cool to do it in the 4th quarter of FB games, like having a funeral for the opposing Team. I've started to really like the idea of doing in late in a Basketball game when the game is in hand. I like Bobinator's earlier suggestion of once before the game starts, then near the end of the game when its clear we're going to win.

Or for the home team. We would get to do it more often that way.

I do agree that it would be best if a small group got together to "demo" this just to see how it sounds. And, if you were to take a "demo" video to whoever you need to approach to get this thing done, you'll have a much greater chance for success. But I'm all for it. Great find/idea R****09

Now to incorporate it: get a meeting with the yell leaders, a few rep's from the reed rowdies, and rob stewart with athletics.

all three of those are in the works already

and get a facebook group or event going. seriously, itll help alot. throw a video on the page and we're set

The Rock Chalk cheer is pretty cool. If you guys can get something going that's half as good it will be fun to chant/yell. (and our opponents will come to loathe it)

While we are on this can everyone on this thread email Byrne non stop until the damn Pink song/uncoordinated dance team stop performing right before tip-off? This could be a real double whammy in the end.

Ok, so I finally got to talk to Lans, and he likes the idea of the chant, and liked the history behind it. But he said he has to get with the other senior yell boys before he can tell me anything else.

Why stop there, why not bring back the 5:00 minute stand up where the whole arena is on their feet for the last 5 minutes of the game including the timeouts. What about the T-A-M-C ball pass yell too?

Taps + Farmers Fight really does sound like it would be intimidating.

I think echoing would be cool - but simple taps done by students and alums (who would join in for sure) would be powerful.

We would have to do it before the game.

Yeah I think doing it how KU does it (thanks bobinator) would be incredible and really imposing. Once before the game and once during it when its clear we're going to win.

i thought it was awesome when KU did Rock Chalk when the game was in hand at the Ferrell Center last night. im all for this!
