I agree we need some sort of chant/yell after timeouts.

Playing Memphis in the Alamodome, we outnumbered them 10-1 but they seemed louder because they had organized cheers/songs during timeouts.

thats because a lot of other schools do cheers that are easy for everyone to do, but Aggies being "above that" will just complain about the old people not being loud and sitting on their hands the whole game wether it be Kyle or Reed, so that we can do our unique yells that pretty much only the current students do. The yells are part of what make the 12th man great (even though the number of yells has gone downhill since the new video stuff went in Kyle), but some echo chants and whatnot could be well utilized, especially when other schools start their crap on our turf.

I love this idea, being the good aggie i am i talked to some one who is seriously old army, he has heard stories of this.... gotta love good old great great uncles and stuff. He liked it.

I think a back and forth chant of:

"Texas" - one side

"Aggies" - other side

would be good.

Plus it would p*ss off the sips.

I think it would piss them off more to know that their beloved Texas Fight was created in response to the original Farmers Fight used back in the day. They always claim that everything we do is based off of them, how would it feel for them to know that their fight song is based off of one of ours?

How long would it take to get this started? Saturday?

Its really up to the yell leaders and the dedication of everyone trying to get the word out, but it'd be hard to get it in by next home game the way we'd like b/c the whole 12th Man Productions crew would have to work it in to the pre-game festivities and such. I think it'd be great to get it in by the Texas game. But I'd imagine there'd be a lot of red tape to get through to make it official.

Like the idea... especially when victory is pending. It's like we're sounding taps for the opponent.

I think that KU breaks out their Rock Chalk Jayhawk with similar timing... right before a win.

I approve. We definitely need something that EVERYONE can get into because during normal yells all the alums just sit and watch us yell. Something that brings all Aggies together would be a great improvement to the atmosphere of our sports venues

Didn't read the whole thing and somebody may have already come up with it.

BUT I think it would be cool to do it maybe right AFTER the video while the lights come back on instead of the dance team.

If I see the "I wanna start a fight" dance again I may go insane, love the dance team but after 10000000000000000000000000 times the dance gets old.

The only thing anybody would say is that this "chant" would be just another effort on our part to be more like tu...and I would agree.

Perhaps we can get the KState Wildcat to host the video.
