These women have played the game at an elite level under pressure. That really helps with commentary. I don't mind women in basketball either but it is really a non factor in golf.

Tiger didn't get all that coverage just because. He got it because his talent, skill and charisma has maybe never been seen on a golf course. NOBODY in this generation is "Tiger". Not even really close.

should have stopped at talent and skill. charisma not so much. guy has always been completely uncomfortable in interviews.

You really don't think Tiger had charisma on the golf course?! That's crazy. How old are you? If you watched him live in the 97 - 2005 range, that was unbelievably compelling golf. Seeing what he'd do next changed golf coverage. He completely loved the media needle.

I agree 100% with some above poster about the Jim Nantz on the upcoming call.

"It's coming up roses" is definitely the obvious choice. He might throw in a "first gold, now green" as well.

If it's Sergio, I'm going with "at long last, he's got his major". And maybe "he's not El Nino anymore".

Whatever it is, it will be pure schmaltz.
