Agreed, that's why I basically just use them for ideas and get my attention to stocks that could go. it seems like he is trying to trade on momentum or continuation of moves sometimes. Then price action goes against him.

I just sent it... but it didn't fill for a while, and EBAY started coming back a bit. I cancelled and am just going to monitor the 5/15 rather than roll it.

So I don't think I'm much help.

All the roll order does is attempt to sell your existing option and buy the next out. It computes a net debit that includes both transactions - you should check the math and .

Only issue you may have is attempting to roll an option that has no bids and is effectively worthless. In that case, the order cannot execute and it's best just to outright buy the next date out.

the aapl lotto is the previous two attempts to break 303 failed and it will again. it then went down beneath the previous low. I don't see it yet.

I don't get why Manic would say to sell the puts with the higher strike price for the same expiration. The higher strike price ones are going to be worth more if it continues down, and the entry price per contract wasn't that much higher.

No. He's referring to the 450 5/15. I got in, but sold when it dropped back down to my buy in level. Need to be better about holding a bit longer.
