I grinded out a 3% week. All of it due to covered call redemptions, selling premium on the lows, and cashing in hedges.

Im thinking we have some chop next week. There will be drama, but I think this is fuel for 4000+
That seems like a hell of a week vs what the average joe traders had.

I understand 2 out of 3, but do you mind explaining selling premium on the lows?

During the past 12 months, there have been six times that the SPY price 1) first closed above the volume-weight 20ma and the 95th percentile, 2-sgma upper BB, and then 2) closed below the 85th percentile, 1.44-sgma upper BB. Four of the previous five times, the SPY price continued falling until it touched the 2-smga lower BB. The time that failed, the SPY rebounded the following day to touch the 2-sigma upper BB. We are in the middle of the sixth time.

Here's a chart for those of you that like charts:

I think there's at least a decent chance we hit that lower BB at 374.74. We could do that and continue on upward just like we did in June, August, September, October, and January, or this could be the start of the correction.

Interesting enough, if I would have invested a set $ amount of additional SPXS shares each time it closed back through the 1.44-sgma upper BB, I would have made a total cumulative 48% profit. If I would have invested with a set $ amount of additional SPXS ATM calls expiry a month out, I would have made a total cumulative 164% profit.

I am in XL 20p out may

Should I wait those out or sell a Mara April 30/15p spread for more credit than the XL put but higher strike. Then close the XL.

As long as they pay carbon credit bribe money payments then all of the jet fuel they burn will be offset and so it won't count. Mother Gaia knows this and doesn't give a **** about carbon dioxide if it's from people contributing to carbon credit funds. I am a scientist.

That's funny.

Elon Musk was on JRE the other day and Joe was asking him about if he had ever thought about it. He says no, and then spends the next 10 minutes talking about what you would need to design it. I don't know if Tesla would ever get into it, but it's just fascinating watching someone that smart be able to work something so complex all in his head.

Best guess is hydrogen. It's light weight and maybe the airlines are wanting some sort of credit for doing so that will cover their fuel cost which is their biggest cost. That would make airlines very interesting...

We already make biodiesel from renewable sources. Jet fuel will be an obvious extension. Jet fuel has a lot of issues because it is obviously pretty critical that it retains it's spray pattern properties off of the fuel injectors into the turbines so there's that.

So, it doesn't have to be battery powered or hydrogen powered to be green. Bio-jet would be my first guess.

Cost of goods about to go up. Then they pass the MW and less people will be employed and collecting this.

Then they will have to tax the rich (everyone not getting this) to pay for drop in tax revenues from less people in the work force.

It's all coming together exactly how they planned. And we are the losers.

What does that have to do with making jet fuel from renewable sources. The point was we make diesel and soon gasoline from renewable sources. It is not a normal 'refinery process' that is being used to make it. Go look up Neste and DGD renewable diesel. The question is can reactor technology be converted to make practical renewable jet.

Boiling ranges:

Distillate Product
Boiling Range

Light SR Naphtha
90 - 190o F (32-88o C)
Heavy Naphtha
190 - 380o F (88 - 193o C)
Kerosene
380 - 520o F (193 - 271o C)
Light Gas Oil
520 - 610o F (271 - 321o C)
Heavy Gas Oil
610 - 800o F (321 - 425o C)
Light Vacuum Gas Oil
800 - 950o F (425 - 510o C)
Heavy Vacuum Gas Oil
950 - 1050o F (510 - 564o C)

you are talking about making a very specific and regulated HC mixture out of bio mass.

Literally is the same thing as making jet fuel in a refinery.

Take organics, refine them, burn them to make energy.

What value add is this assumed bio fuel and where is the carbon neutral claim? You still burn HC to make H2O and CO2.

Wait until you see how they define "rich"... It will be aimed at the upper-middle class too and of course the tax raises on the "rich" will be passed down to the middle and lower classes.

I'm not one to mince words and fiscal/economic policy is in my wheelhouse. What I'm about to say may offend some of you, and if it does, that's not my problem. I'm not a mean person (many here know me personally), but I speak what I believe to be the truth, even if it cuts....

I've not been a fan of the GOP for 20 years, and I voted Independent 95% of the time. If you'd like to discuss with me offline, I'm always willing to discuss policy (I'm wonkish) with anyone of any political leaning.

With that said, you either are an economic illiterate or you want to see the world burn if you side with the Left. Pick one.

2020 was the first time I voted for a major party since the 2000 election, and I did so to specifically vote against the now BSC Left. Both parties are absolutely useless to me, but one is especially a glue sniffing monster that appeals to the lowest common denominator.
