Anyone who is much smarter than me and know what they're doing with charts have any advice on AMD's movement? Last three months have been up and down with an overall downward trend.

Both. Rally with flash above 3855, then end of day dump back towards 3800-3780

Apparently they announced a $1billion dollar write down due to losses sustained last week in ERCOT.
The only good news is that they could be recipients of increased market share growth from smaller players (retail energy providers) who went tits-up during the crisis.

Anyone buying small positions as a contrarian? There is some probability that the report is the hoax. If I were already long would dump immediately but not being the case am considering a small long. Don't have a feel on Hindenburg tactics/record so maybe way off base here.


After the CLOV report I did some research and a lot of people think they are a precursor to eventual huge bulls. Lots of people think their stuff is purely about shorting

Just for a visual and maybe a little perspective. Just my opinion only as well.

We stayed in the ascending channel although it felt like a lot worse to many. We did not reclaim 3855 but didn't lose the bottom end either. Lots of volume today and you can see basically matched June 11/12, Sept 3/4, Nov 9 and Jan 27/29 ranges. It ended -1 ATR as well. Below 8 & 21 but bounced the 50 EMAs.

This is just a quick chart view without digging into all the other things. Although I would have loved it to recapture the 8/21 & 3855+ levels I am not concerned...yet... just cautious.

So have a good weekend ahead and Monday will be another day in what we all love...the markets.

I've held amd since the 10s. Amd loves to trade in these ranges for months. Amd traded in the 9 to 12 range for around half a year in 17/18.

Same thing around the 30s and 50s. Same type of range going on now. I would definitely load up if ever gets close to that 74-75 mark.

OA, foggy, 30k or someone else might be able to provide more insight for you.

amd and Xilinx are positioned to make a combined 20 bil in revenue around 2022-2023. Intel is expected to be not competitive at all until late 2021, but more likely 2022. Very bullish the next couple of years personally.

Lets hope recovery about to happen bouncing the 50 EMA. FWIW the 50 day pretty much follows the bottom of the channel I drew in the quick chart. Right where it ended.

I bought more SPXS calls this afternoon. I had a buy order in that hadn't filled so I pushed it up to fill at 3:50. That feels like the only good thing I did for my account this week.

I grinded out a 3% week. All of it due to covered call redemptions, selling premium on the lows, and cashing in hedges.

Im thinking we have some chop next week. There will be drama, but I think this is fuel for 4000+

If you've been in it the past 90 days your downside is $75 but your upside is $100+. If you have been in it that long, and you're not using margin, then I'd hold if it were me. JMO.
