TOS smokes Fidelity mobile app and Fidelity Active Trader Pro computer application. Just my 2 cents. The Fidelity mobile app really is bad in comparison.Rice and Fries said:Fidelity. Why others choose to mess with anything else is beyond me. It's rarely down, offers great options across the board.0708aggie said:
Going on 4 hours down. What is everyone else using for your trading platform. Is TOS the most widely used?

TWTR with a massive setup 11/27 for 47.5 would be good lottos to buy and should hit possibly today or tomorrow

still holding ATVI 12/18's???
or time to cut losses?
Unless someone sees something I don't (which is highly probable) I am going to cut these shortly. Hasn't been able to reclaim the 8 & 21 and I am close to my stop at the moment.gigemJTH12 said:

Thanks. I'll can roll with that. Not a gamer and wouldn't know which ones are better than others honestly. As far as my wife is concerned what I do on TOS and this site is nothing more than a big boys video game anyway.Colt98 said:
Here's the thing with atvi... the new call of duty just came out and my son told me to buy the stock the week before we got the option trade from this forum. He said it's the best one they've made. I would think this will boost their sales going into Christmas. I'm holding the calls as long as it holds 75. But that's me. My 16 year old also told me to make sure and buy Msft going into the holidays with the new Xbox. So I bought Jan calls and added to them this morning. So far my kids ha e been SPOT on(that was my daughters pick last Christmas)
I'll buy mine back when it confirms reversal. Or if....0708aggie said:

Word of caution. Don't get euphoric and manage some risk. There could be a sell off of magnitude tomorrow or early next week.

The chart tells me MSFT has a TON of room to grow, but in the interest of capital preservation all risk if off (and then some) and I'm left with a bit of JAN calls to tend to.
Thank you for the idea OA.
Yep you go it. I bought my calls back at .80 a few minutes ago which is less than I sold them for. Those same calls are now already back at around $0.90 so I could just resell it again and lower my cost on the shares even more and generate another round of cash to use for other purposes.trip98 said:FJ,FJ43 said:I'll buy mine back when it confirms reversal. Mind educating this newbie (and I'm sure others in same boat) a bit on this. Here's what I did following OA1 guidance
bought 200 shares....100 at $2 and 100 at $2.25
sold Dec 18 $2.50 call for $0.70 right after buying the shares at $2
sold Dec 18 $5 call for $0.85 after getting the $2.25 shares
Not sure I'm worried about holding these long term. Plan was to use this as practice as first foray into trading and try to make some money along the way.
Initial plan was that if I were to get called on either of those I'd be just fine with very solid return. Or if not called then my cost goes down to $1.30 and $1.40 respectively. Then I just rinse and repeat covered calls and profit or get net free.
If I were to follow what you're saying would be to buy to close these calls and then I'd be back to just owning the shares. Watching and then when/if timing was right sell covered calls again.
For example, on the $5 call, right now can buy that call for $0.40. So if I buy to close I would then be out of the option and sitting on 100 shares but would have pocketed $0.45 effectively lowering my cost on that portion to $1.80 already.
And I could then watch/wait or maybe even look to January $5 call option and sell that for $0.65 starting process all over again.
sound about right?
and yes, I know when I say I'm sitting on the shares I technically always was as I could just trade the options by themselves but just using that for reference.
He had mentioned a few times that if MSFT filled the gap at 208.11 that he would consider buying $10 otm calls about a month out. Yesterday when it was in the 208.20's I bought the 215c's for Jan and flipped them today.Rice and Fries said:What was his MSFT trade again?McInnis 03 said:
