Interesting Purdue dropped 6 places with their loss to Wisconsin.

Buzz Williams & Co. check in at No. 7 in latest Associated Press poll
They’ve won five in a row.
Now, they’re knocking on the door of the top five.
After a 2-0 week with wins over Georgia and Arkansas, Texas A&M basketball is now ranked No. 7 in the Week 16 edition of the Associated Press top 25.
Additionally, the Aggies are ranked No. 7 in the latest USA Today Sports Coaches Poll.
For Buzz Williams & Co., this is their fourth time appearing in the top 10 this season. Further, it’s A&M’s 24th week to be included in the nation’s top 10...ever.
As this current win streak continues, the Aggies inch closer and closer to equaling (or surpassing) the program’s high-water mark of No. 5, which was last achieved in 2017.
A&M’s resume continues to be among the elite. Currently, their NET ranking is No. 11, and during Saturday’s NCAA selection committee Bracket Preview, the Aggies were listed as a No. 2 seed and the No. 6 overall seed.
With March right around the corner, A&M has an average seed of 2.13 in the Feb. 16 update of the Bracket Matrix, listed as a No. 2 seed by 66 of the 87 brackets included.
When it comes to the SEC regular-season race, Auburn (11-1) is now alone at the top of the standings by virtue of the Tigers’ 94-85 win over Alabama (10-2) on Saturday. At 9-3, the Aggies remain tied with Florida for third place in the league, 2.0 games behind Auburn with six to play.
To catch the Tigers will require navigating a daunting stretch run in the league with games against No. 21 Mississippi State (Feb. 18), No. 6 Tennessee (Feb. 22), No. 2 Florida (March 1) and No. 1 Auburn (March 4).
This week’s slate features a Tuesday trip to Starkville before Rick Barnes and the Vols come to Reed on Saturday.
