So, question on this. That person paid millions in premium and we saw the sweeps come through. Clearly has lost the majority of it. Would you not also see sweeps come through again if they were to dump it and take the loss? In other words, is there a way you'd see the original buyer throw in the towel knowing they no longer think the options will make a return?

Great question. Here's the May 18 activity in that strike area right now.
There is a **** ton of movement on the 297. I want to say the volume on the transaction when noticed was 30,000 contracts? ($4.9 million). Well, there's a funny number there on the volume today, eh?
$4,900,000 / $160 ($1.60 contract execution) = 30625 contracts......

I have a long position in MGM. It tested the descending 10 day ma 2 weeks ago, and again 4 days ago. Both times it retreated. I'm not good enough at this yet to know if it's on a downward trend again, but if I were looking to add here I'd probably be willing to wait it out a little bit.SpeedyAg90 said:

Ah, thanks. That makes sense. So with that much volume, would that mean the open interest that shows up tomorrow would likely be drastically lower? I think I remember someone saying the open interest is updated at the beginning of each day vs being current.

It's crazy but I think this could be good news. The amount of blocks being sold makes me think it's insiders shaking the trees to get more shares cheap. Two things.
1. Wal mart earnings are Tuesday
2. Memorial Day weekend is a 3 day weekend for news to come on that Friday.
I think a deal may be done but won't be announced until the 22nd. The stock price itself is meaningless. This is about the buyout/settlement and that's it.
