If your goal is long term stocks, hop in now as a lot of stuff is on sale...if you're looking for a quick win this week, I'd err on the side of puts as I'm not convinced this is a bottom (though it is nice to see us heading up some after the halt this morning)

People can't time the market on a consistent basis in the best of markets and you want to do it along side a black swan event?

What is your outlook? Are you trying to make a short term profit or long term investment? If long term, do you believe the system will survive? If so, put your money in and ride it out. If not, then I certainly wouldn't try to time it for a quick entry/exit.

Taking it seriously and panicking are 2 different things, but if it makes you feel better, do both. Personally, I'll pray for the sick and the rest of us and keep doing what I do. Look up some numbers from South Korea, see what a prepared country has done to stem the effects of this.

Except South Korea was way more prepared than us. Our numbers of spread were almost identical to Italy in the first ten days.

Our response was nothing like south korea's. And people will keep doing what they do, as you mentioned, which will make it even more difficult to stem the effects.

Home Depot gonna be a stock to watch. They make a ton of money april-may-june in lawn and garden. Potential to have a huge recovery if timed right.
