Javier in a tandem with one of Urkeeding/Brown/Pornstache. Frankly I would just as soon see an opener of Neris or Montero for an inning and then Javier for 5 and then the tandem.

Like Framber, Pressly and Hunter Brown letting the little mistakes pile on this year when they didn't do that last year. Or the amount of unearned runs given up by this team to me points to lack of focus at times.
That's why last night was so refreshing. They made the defensive plays that helped them win it all last year. Like that double play against Julio would have been a run last week by them not getting the throw to first in time.

Somehow, against all odds, Maldy has an .816 OPS vs LHP this year. It defies logic but he's been pretty good against lefties. I looked at playoff rotations last night. I think Verlander is scheduled to pitch the last game of the season as it stands right now. If the Astros turn it around and make it in, it would be nice to do so before the last game so the team can push him back (presumably to G1 in Minnesota). If he does pitch in Arizona, that would set him up for G1 in the ALDS... with all the presumptive "ifs" assumed.
