Still optimistic - I just can't wrap my head around that there's a possibility Altuve, Bregs, JV, Peña, Yordan etc would be sitting home in October watching Correa in the playoffs. That can't be a thing.

Astros v Castillo.
-Altuve hasn't faced him?
-Yordan, Tucker, Diaz, Chas, Peña have hit him decently
-Bregman, Abreu, Maldy have not
-One might hope at this point Dusty gets some front office input on the lineup instead of playing JV's "personal" whatevers

Playing down to their competition but also taking two of three from the O's? Interesting.

Altuve did in ALDS game 2
Swept by the lowly Royals, the Astros head to Seattle battling for their playoff lives.

“The champions always have pressure, and I think the guys know what they need to do to get out of this,” José Abreu said. “It starts tomorrow.”

Astros paths to the postseason:

😬: Sweep Seattle and win 1 vs Arizona.
😳: Win two in Seattle and win two in Arizona. Seattle loses 1 vs TEX
🤦♂️: Win 1 in Seattle, sweep Arizona. SEA loses 2 vs TEX
💩: Lose all SEA games, sweep Arizona. Pray Seattle loses 3 times to TEX
Quote:
In Saturday's seventh inning, Baker pinch-hit Jon Singleton in a situation that might have fit Brantley had he been available. Baker was asked Sunday morning if Houston must reconsider carrying a short-handed bench given the magnitude of its final seven games.
"I don't know, man," Baker said. "Just got to wait on him like I have been."
With Alvarez in left field, Chas McCormick started at designated hitter Sunday for just the third time this season. Yainer Diaz drew back-to-back starts at catcher for the second time this year; Martn Maldonado will likely catch all three games of the upcoming series in Seattle given the Astros' projected rotation.

It would be delicious if the Astros went 5-1 and the Rangers won 1 of 3 against the Angels and split with the Mariners. They've been .500 on the road.
