Same here. Would have to be a very team friendly deal. 1 yr at $10MM or so.
I wanted him on a 1-2 year deal to help lead/ mentor this young staff.
We go from Opening Day at home against the Yanks to Opening Day in Canada then the home opener against the Rockies. Blech.

Big offensive power bat, decent behind the plate. We just traded a utility guy with a sub par bat for a starter with a plus bat. Big W and I actually like this trade for both teams.
Twins catcher. Good hitter with power. Had some minor injuries last season.

Would almost have to be Trevino, wouldn't it? Heim is younger, a switch hitter, and as good defensively.

Yes, Heim is much better defensively.
What are the other needs for the Rangers currently? SP, OF, 1B, and what else?
I've seen we have interest in Olson, Soler, Castellanos.
I don't think we go overpay for TOTR type of SP especially since we are thinking this is not the year for a playoff run. Solidly the lineup this year and then have Leiter, Gray, and Wynn anchor the rotation in 23?
It's looking that way. I'm not a fan of the Perez signing - he may give us some innings but that's about it. Not sure what's left as far as FA starting pitching, but maybe a trade is in the works.

I guess the thinking is Jung will come up this season and solidify as the starter. I understand the trade value IKF brings but I thought he could probably hold up defensively at 3rd, and an infield of IKF, Seager and Semien plus whoever at first felt like a potentially pretty damn good combo
Jung had shoulder labrum surgery (non-throwing arm, weight lifting injury) and is basically done for the year
I'm guessing they'll sign a stop-gap for this season, because they earliest Jung will be back is late August or September, if at all.
I wonder if IKF wasn't happy about moving back to 3rd and requested that they explore options for a trade. Good return for him, but the timing is curious after Jung's injury. Maybe they'll try to go with Ibanez at 3B.

Had forgotten Jung got hurt. That makes me scratch my head even more. I guess it would make sense if IKF had asked to be traded or didn't want to play 3rd.

My guess would be Solak/Ibanez at 3rd for now.
Seems like Bryant would be a good fit considering our needs at 3B and corner OF.
