I'm a Dunning fan and still think he can put it together. But if you think Gray is like Dunning, that just shows how hidden he's been in Colorado. Doubt he's a TORP, but he could be a great number 2.

Well he's definitely an upgrade and in his prime but not sure how I feel about it. Wanted Seager or Story.

Sounds like they're not done. Rumors are Semien may play 2nd and one of the other big fish are still in play at SS.
I don't hate it. For his power, that is a solid average.

Semien can play multiple positions and doesn't have a history of back injuries. I'm ok with it. Maybe he has prior injury concerns I'm not aware of.
Now let's get Gray or another SP (or two of them) to go along with the younger SP's we have. Maybe get on OF bat. I'd be good with Jung at 3b, Semien as SS, IKF at 2b, tbd at 1B (Huff/Lowe combo?).

7 year deal for a 31 year old I'm not a fan of, but we should still get some productive years out of him. Hit .265 in Toronto last season. Overall 6/10 personal excitement level for that addition

I like Cole Calhoun as a player. He plays his guts out and I've always admired him. I'll be interested to see the deal.
I think the Semien deal is a little too long but he's been healthy his entire career. He's played 162 games in each season the last two full seasons.

Reality is that in order to sign baseball FA's, you gotta be willing to risk a few years of old guy overpaying. If not, you will never sign anyone. Give me a 7 year deal with a healthy 31 year old over a 10 year deal with a 28 year old and health queations any day

Former #3 overall pick. He has a good assortment of pitches. Not sure if he's pitched his best baseball yet.
