As other have said, it's typically two days off, bullpen session, another day off.
That's four days of normal rest.

It's a miracle Astros won. Major changes didn't happen in the lineup
Probably a good thing AJ Hinch is manager.
I actually like that better, and think that's exactly what happens.crowman2010 said:FIFYJimbos Cow said:
Here's my thoughts for starting pitching:
G1 Greinke
G2 JV
G3 Cole
G4 Urquidy
G5 Greinke
G6 JV
G7 Cole
This series is going 7 games without a doubt in my mind. But I think the Yankees steal one in Houston (probably Game 2) .
Gotcha, doesn't always come through here.BMX Bandit said:ontheedge said:How would you change it?BMX Bandit said:

The joke
Your head
thats what I am saying. I get that that would be fine normally. But he just pitched a lot of pitches in the last few daystitanmaster_race said:gigemJTH12 said:
I keep seeing people say JV pitches game 2. But thats on Sunday. so 4 days rest. I wonder if that will be cause for concern.
That's normal. When you have a 5 man rotation during the season, each guy pitches every 5th day, which is 4 days of rest.
Now maybe that's a cause for concern to only get normal rest after pitching on short rest? Idk

Raise your hand if you're moving slow at work this morning.
But damn it was worth it. Love October baseball
What kind of work are you suggesting?Prosperdick said:Ag_07 said:
And I know we're not gonna talk about it but I'm calling it now...Cole stays.
We don't offer him the biggest contract but it's a competitive offer and he rather be here with this team and this staff.
Cole is an Astro next season
We need Mrs. Verlander to work on Mrs. Cole...they certainly were chummy after the game. Also Mrs Grienke needs to work on Mrs Cole too. That's the key...money only does so much.

Cole was great tonight and most of the season.
Tampa Bay is no joke. They are very good. They will be a problem for yrs to come. The front office has seemingly taken a very prudent approach and Cash is a very good on field game manager.
The Astros got where they are by great scouting and competent management of same. Tampa looks to be following that model.

We couldn't have been a little more secretive with tipping the pitches?
I'd imagine it was something we picked up on the last time we faced him
Damn. I totally forgot about checking on that last night. Oh well, on the waitlist.07ag said:
tried to go the mastercard priceless tix route, but they weren't available last night when i went to bed, and are already sold out this morning,, ya'll move fast https://www.priceless.com/sports/product/147154/houston-american-league-postseason-tickets
We'll add pitching for sure. I am good with that. I wouldn't be shocked to see Tucker left off if he's not going to start any games.Ag_07 said:
So...Lets talk ALCS roster
I'm guessing no Miley and no Straw and we add Peacock and Abreu
