As other have said, it's typically two days off, bullpen session, another day off.

That's four days of normal rest.

This series is going 7 games without a doubt in my mind. But I think the Yankees steal one in Houston (probably Game 2) .

That's normal. When you have a 5 man rotation during the season, each guy pitches every 5th day, which is 4 days of rest.

Now maybe that's a cause for concern to only get normal rest after pitching on short rest? Idk

With the quality of baseball and how these teams are built this could go down as one the best LCSs in baseball history.

Pitch every 5th or 6th day usually during season
4 days rest is considered full rest pitching on day 5

In hindsight going 5 days in the alds may end up working to our advantage. i really like the pitching order for the alcs with cole pitching game 3 at yankee stadium rather than grienke, then we probably get cole and jv at home for 6 and 7. also, you have to wonder whether that 5 day off between the last game of the season and game 1 of the alds caused the loss of momentum with the offense. as nice as rest can be, it can also have a negative effect. if brantley is out of his mini slump that will make a major difference. also need to figure out the 8 spot. its turned into an automatic out lately.

We'll add pitching for sure. I am good with that. I wouldn't be shocked to see Tucker left off if he's not going to start any games.
