so far he's 3-3 with a 3.50 ERA in 7 starts for the Braves

I think this would be a good deal.

After this season, Cole is likely gone and that would give the Astros JV and Greinke. The problem is -- both JV and ZG are up there in years. Of course, we'd have LMJ back.

None of our young arms has panned out so far. Of course, we have Frances Martes returning from Tommy John and JB.

I have concern about future pitching with this deal, but Luhnow has shown he can get it done.

For a win-now deal, I'd take this in a heartbeat.

also...the front office is out there looking for the next Charlie Morton or Wade Miley (that is going to hit free agency after the season).

Honestly, the Blue Jays had an excellent opportunity to bolster their young core. (Vlad Jr, Biggio, Bichette, etc.) They really will be competitors in the next 3-5 years.... and they got crap in return for Stroman.

I can't imagine that's even close to the best offer they got. It's like they intentionally screwed themselves so that they didn't have to send him to the Yankees or Red Sox.

I'm sure some will say this is an example of somebody that wants to win but i look at this situation as somebody that's a little immature and hot headed...but lots of times this gets chalked up to Latin players just being "passionate"
