It is funny that we have JV, Cole and Greinke... and there's three recent Astros who will likely be wild card/game 1 starters for their new respective teams (Fiers, Morton and Keuchel).

You know dang well he got full price on all those mattresses because of the "free" clause. The other side of the coin is the additional sales he made by getting people in the door with the promotion. How many people bought a bed to go along with their mattress, or a couch, dining room set, etc. etc?
So even if he sold $10MM in matresses, if the 80% markup is true then he is only out $2MM in inventory.
I would **** myself.Texaggie7nine said:I can't even imagine my reaction if you showed this picture to the April 2017 me.AustinCountyAg said:reading that got my piss hot for this month of playoff baseball! so jacked updshedd14 said:

I think we need cover comparisons to see who did it best...mathguy86 said:
How many husbands and wives can say they each made the cover of SI for excelling at their separate craft?

Have the A's still not announced who is starting tomorrow?
I'm hoping it's Manaea so we get Fiers on Friday.
and we still won the season series against them because we dominated them early. We can beat either of those teams in 3 games. It doesn't matter who wins the wild card in my opinionMuckRaker96 said:
Oakland has beaten us 6 of the last 8, would prefer Tampa
And they can beat us. A best of 3 series is a little bit of a crapshoot.tjholley16 said:and we still won the season series against them because we dominated them early. We can beat either of those teams in 3 games. It doesn't matter who wins the wild card in my opinionMuckRaker96 said:

Tamps, easy call IMHO. Tampa started the season hot and got worse as the season went along and they are using their best pitcher tomorrow in CFM. The A's have been hot as hell the last half of the season and record wise have been the best team in the AL. Their pen is basically a bunch of closers who they throw based on who is hottest. And Olsen and Chapman can win games on their own.

We got some decent revenge on them in 04 & 05. I don't have any animosity towards their current team. I actually like some of their core players.Marvin said:
