Last 2 games the Grizz did not cover the 3 pt line well and didn't shoot well from 3. Was hoping for at least a split between CHI/CLE but they dropped both of them.

Need to beat the Jazz tonight to end this little skid.

As I sit here and watch the Miami Beach Bowl, I wonder, what are the odds that the Memphis Tigers play BYU the same day that the Grizzlies play the Jazz.

Bad loss to an 8 win Jazz team who hasn't won a road game in the Western Conference. First real bad loss of the season in my opinion and now on a 3 game losing skid since the 3OT win over SA.

Seeing a bad trend lately with teams shooting well above their season average from 3 point land against the Grizz... And Courtney Lee went 0-7 from behind the arc and a number of those were uncontested.

Some odd stats in the losses to Utah and Chicago the Grizzlies only had 4 turnovers each game and still lost.

Grizzlies still lack the depth and have been blessed to be injury free through the first part of the season.

CLee is a nice 4th or 5th option. He's not a 2nd or 3rd option.

Koufos is in the discussion for best reserve big man, but when he starts, he is exposed, the Grizzlies are even slower than when they play Gasol and ZBo together, and then the 2nd unit is not good.


And as MemAg mentioned above, CLee had several wide open looks from 3 point land and missed...repeatedly.

I think Lee had the best 3 pt percentage in the league coming into last night but he was way off. I think they started Koufos last night because of the Utah lineup. Joerger started Leuer against Cleveland I believe.

In this offense, Lee (and the other shooters) have to take and hit those open looks. Grizz shooters seem to have a habit of passing up open looks to try to make extra passes, then you get down to someone like Tayshaun having to take one against the shot clock.

In my forecast that the grizzlies and rockets won't play any close games this year, I will guess the grizzlies lose by more than 7 points tonight.
