It isn't about anyone not wanting an OT, so I'm not sure who you would say I told you so, too. There's no one who wouldn't be excited with another OT. Heck, I want 3 OL, 3 more DL, 2-3 more WRs, 3 more DBs, 2 LBers, a big bruising RB, a receiving TE, and a QB to push Reed. But It's all about NIL balance along with spots (we are at 87/88 right now, FWIW. We will probably enter spring with 88-90, weed a couple out, maybe add a spring transfer or 2, and be at 85 by fall camp).
The only two OTs we thought were worth bringing in each would have likely cost more than our 4 DL we have committed combined. With no guarantee they actually upgrade the room/depth over Bourdon / Rogers, who most teams would KILL to have as their 4th and 5th options since no one actually has 3 OTs with extensive playing time like we do, let alone 4-5.
Some positions we were always just going to have to take the calculated risk and develop. Maybe after the spring we re-evaluate, but as of now, we aren't even considering a QB, RB, OL, LB, DE, etc. The only positions we are currently after are DT, WR (Noah would end this), and S.
