So who have we communicated with and who do you think the Ags will end up getting in this portal season

The who is completely unknown. Even the coaches probably don't know for sure. They may have an idea on a couple. Most likely as of now is Jacob Zeno and/or Micah Hudson. But even those are too early to know.

So far, it seems DL, WR, and TE are by far the most action, with the right fit at QB. Some of the guys you have mentioned are definitely in the running.

I don't see that many WRs. We only need 10, with only 6 actually playing. We currently have 9.

I predict we lose one more (maybe Bostick) and add only 2; One proven alpha and one talented unproven like Hudson.

Ok yeah I believe we will get 2 good edge people and 1 powerful interior DL, and we will get the prude TE and Hudson and KC and fill out or WR. If we are able to pull all of that out I believe we will be able to go far next season

Very unlikely we take more than 3 WR. My gues it's more like 2-3 with 3 being unlikely.

And the number of transfers i heard was in the 10-15 range.

I don't see 12-16 as much different than 10-15. Call it 13-14 in the median.

I think it will be 3 WRs. 4 is possible. Just depends on who we can get in on.

I think the Purdue tightend may be Notre Dame bound at this point

What about Daniels from OSU in the S/LB role since we missed on J Williams in recruiting. Wasn't he committed or actually enrolled here and transferred out. I also think we definitely need another RB. Some of the top teams take 2 RB's every year in recruiting. We only have one, that from what some have said did not have the most impressive senior year.

Grab a true WR1 from the portal and have Thomas outside with Bussey in the slot. Then add a talented guy for depth that may become a starter.

Why do we think we have "worthy starters" right now?
I understand we have guys on the roster who are currently "starting", but if they aren't NFL potential, we need to be rethinking things.

Always be looking to upgrade the roster where you can. If it's a toss up, then make a depth decision. But if it's a legit upgrade, we've gotta try. We're either trying to build a championship caliber roster, or we're not. And right now we don't have one.

As for Bussey, weren't we trying to keep him at DB? And just slid him to WR this year because of how bad we are at WR right now? And is he slated to move back to DB once we get legit "worthy starters"?

You don't go after talent just because it's there. You go after talent if it will make a large enough impact on your team. Saying you need to upgrade at all times is blatantly false. You upgrade where it makes sense. And going after 3-4 WR with 2-3 starters does not make sense.

I think our only disconnect is you apparently think we have a bunch of good WR's on the current roster. And I disagree completely.
Not sure about our younger guys that we never saw, but the guys that saw the field this season, i don't know that any top tier team would be overly interested in any of them. Noah included.

Bussey would be the outlier given his youth, but he was slated to be a DB anyway.

Bussey is almost for sure staying at WR and many in the program think it's what he is better at anyways.

But I still think we take 3 WRs. Unless we just simply can't get 3 quality ones.

Looks like Ole Miss is spending big again. Already have top Edge, DL and IOL committed.

They have crystal balls. But not committed.

Either way, portal rankings are probably even worse than high school rankings. Read the tea leaves on who we want and/or who we are recruiting against for a player That's more telling, IMHO. The rankings will be very unreliable. I think they were even worse than HS rankings last portal rankings.

Not to mention that there are probably about 500+ more guys to enter.

Duce had Georgia as his runner up, and his visits were all the biggest brand programs. we never got a visit during his recruitment. Seems like a tall order- is he good enough for a roster spot on our baseball team? Doubtful but maybe that interests him

Well looks like we'll have a shot at Umanmielen. He has A&M in his standout options for schools, along with LSU, Ole Miss, Auburn, FSU and Tech.

Is there any updates today about the players we are going to have visit and that we really want to turn this team around?

Mario Craver visiting tomorrow. Speedster who had a good freshman year at Miss State.

Daniels from Okie State, Perry from Louisville, or someone else similar from the portal is an absolute must. We don't have anyone on the roster to fill the Star role except a current FR (Davis) & an incoming FR.

And thr 1st portal get is no help.
