I think that's a good guess. But maybe he's athletic enough to play 5

As a HS recruit, he was a 225 lb DE.
He has beefed up and just may well be athletic enough for the 5 tech.

Someone help me understand why a kid would be interested in Bama. That program is on the decline.

Just heard today that Van Buren from Miss St was in the portal, that kid totally impressed me and I think there would be a halfway decent shot of him beating out Marcel. If our coaches knew about this and passed, that just tells me they are 100% committed to Marcel

Coaching staff signaled by getting Zeno that they are fine with current QB stable with current and incoming Fish players. Staff wanted a serviceable back-up that was experienced and mature to fill a one year gap "just in case" as they continue to develop Reed and the other young QBs.

The Miss St. QB is fishing for NIL. We were never going to chase after him and risk disrupting the QB room. Plus any portal NIL $ needs to be put into top shelf WRs, Tackles, & DEs.

In the ocean of things our football program regrets, what would this really matter?

We could get Jerry Rice and Michael Irvin transfer here in their prime and we'd run the veer.

Our program will f up whatever advantage we may have, so our recruiting doesn't matter. As it never has mattered.
