Tremendous play by the DB. Horrible 4Q management by the OC.

So with Washington joining the B1G in '24 season, this is virtually an all B1G national championship game
Were there untruly undeafeated teams available?annie88 said:

Such a dumb clock injury rule. The offense should have the option to run the clock down to the end of play clock if one of their players is injured.
If that was the case, a lot of really convenient injuries would magically happen at the end of games.
It isnt a dumb rule, you just dont like that it almost cost UW the game.

Well, FSU lost because a **** ton of their team wasn't playing. You could say that if they'd been in the CFP, they probably wouldn't have that problem. They should have been given a shot over tessus.
I see the B1G pushing for something like this at the next rules meeting. This came close to costing them the game. And it does raise the specter of defensive teams deliberately injuring players to cause a clock stoppage. IDK, maybe the option of burning a time-out if one is available to allow both clocks to start at its end, or else do the ten-second...?htxag09 said:1939 said:schmellba99 said:IDaggie06 said:

It's a dumb rule. What if it had been a Texas player faking injury. Clock should start when the player is off the field.
Different scenarios. If it was a Texas player they'd be forced to use a timeout. They don't have one so it'd be a clock runoff and I do believe the game clock would start with the play clock.

Nah. Committee takes into account major injuries that affect a team's performance. Clearly Travis being out affects their performance. Right call.
But, if you want to tell me the final 4 should have been Michigan/Washington/FSU/Georgia, then maybe you have an argument.
