I doubt they could do the analytics but it seems like a lot of conventional wisdom on punts is wrong
At the HS school level i think trying to field the ball is overrated. Good offensive teams probably are unaffected by field position
Trying to block the kick is also a bad idea if your team is really good on offense

College is different but seems like I see more mistakes that cost the fielding team than big returns
In blowouts big returns happen but close games big negative plays seem to happen more than big positive plays

Posted this on the "todays bowl games" thread but I guess we're on this one now?

Anyway, ESPN needs to learn when to show graphics on the screen and when not to. At the same time as a close up of the cheerleaders is when not to (unless it's the sips cheerleaders, but it wasn't).
