Fuller was a pipe dream started wishful thinking by the same folks who thought we'd go hire Lanning as HC. If anything that talk probably started more on his side to create speculation for a raise.



I think it started on here because I said it was brought up in Premium that him and Elko worked together and some ran with it. It was always going to be a long shot.

Thank you sir! Busy weekend on my end but still code silent. I like weekdays where I can put work off haha. I'm still in the belief Elko had his guy from the beginning on the DC and this is about announcement timing.

And Batty as Vader said, interest and actual realistic possibility are not =.

Also interested how it's been relatively quiet on the other openings.

Elko himself is a big name in the DC world thus Id never suspect a big flashy name…which I think rules out probably 2&3 on your list. Usually it's something with a date in a contract getting paid out their money.

That was a troll thread from Coryhub.

There's only so many hours in a day where Elko can finish hiring his coaching staff while trying to keep up with the recruiting and the portal all at the same time. Plus I'm sure he's still talking to the players and trying to get to know some of them. This is an extremely busy time for him and what few coaches he has.

Now back to the things at hand. Who's the new DC going to be?

That's awesome to hear. His resume is bonkers. To go from Duke AHC/RB to solely RB coach here hopefully this an exciting move for him. I'm sure the financial compensation is handsome.

Does it really matter where they come from as long as they have some really good coaching skills. Personally I hope Elko hires a few more younger guys that aren't burned out.

I'm just curious about whether Elko has long (or broad) coat tails in the coaching arena. As a comparison, Sumlin didn't seem to. Exactly where each new hire comes from is not my concern.

A HC who takes advantage of the portal is exactly what we need. Elko will have us competing year 1 at this rate.
