It was disheartening to watch Mississippi State crush us 42-24. I knew this road game would be tough, but I had expected us to compete from start to finish. Mississippi State outgained us 473 total yards (329 passing and 144 rushing) to 388 total yards (252 passing and 136 rushing) and won the turnover margin 4 to 1. We squandered 3 scoring opporunties: 2 lost fumbles in the red zone and a blocked field goal attempt that was returned for a touchdown.
As a result, we have lost 3 consecutive true SEC road games. Our last road win was a 35-14 rout of Missouri on 10/16/21, and our last road win over an SEC West opponent was a 31-20 win at Auburn on 12/5/20. In contrast, Mississippi State snapped a 6-game home losing streak to SEC West opponents and beat an SEC West opponent for the first time since a 21-20 win over Ole Miss on 11/28/19. Also, it is the first ever such win for Mississippi State head coach Mike Leach.

The easy approach is to care about Aggie football under Jimbo the same as you cared about it under Fran. I'm slowly weaning myself off of Aggie football . and my life is so much better. Jimbo is not worth someone else's $$$ or my time and attention. He loves himself enough for all of us. And that's all the man needs: money and admiration (without respect, which he hasn't earned). The line may have issues but there are multitudes of examples where the QB has time but don't make the play. But don't get me wrong, the QBs are adequate...if we want to be 7-5 or so. There is no damn way we beat the good teams in the SEC with what we've played. He'll we can't beat the middle teams.
There are also multiple times a game where teams bring 6 in blitz knowing Achane can't block to save his life. That doesn't help a shaky pass protecting line. As great as he is with the ball in hand this offense would be better with more 2 back formations.
Achane put a rusher on the ground right at Max AJ's feet, and Max held the ball so long that the guy had time to stand up and tackle him.
And he also completely missed a free rusher that caused the fumble at the end of the 1st half. He is not a 3 down back. It is what it is. He is too talented to ne on the bench, but he is a liability in certain situations. He is the ultimate "other guy".

The team is not good. Don't be emotionally invested in it. There are too many other, wonderful things in life to embrace.

I still have faith. It's a bad game, they're unfocused and not playing consistently. Things will come together and click, the right people need to be on the field. The team needs to be mentally tough and pull themselves up in tough situations. Not sure what needs to be done.
I think Fisher is a good coach, I just think we've been missing some pieces of the puzzle. He probably does need to get an OC. Let's just calm down and regroup. It's not the end of the world. Lots of season ahead to play.

Yeah, nothing that a real OC, an offensive line coach that can teach them to block, and a DC that doesn't trot out a three man front every damn game wouldn't fix

Jimbo is a CEO at this point and has no business calling plays because he has too many other responsibilities. LSU probably doesn't win a natty without Joe Brady calling plays in 2019. Imagine what a new offense could do for A&M.

This wasn't 59-0/77-0. It was ugly, but technically we were picked (by Vegas and others) to lose this game. IMO, App State was a was a worse look for us…
However, there is plenty of season left and plenty of opportunity for one of those signature losses still to come though...
