Every single poster on this board could decide to fire him and it wouldnt make a bit of difference. So it's just whining. Sumlin will return next year. It's a 100% certainty. When or if he's fired the next year the very same people that brought him here will chose his replacement. This board will argue and debate who it should be but the reality is the guy will have already been picked and deal will be in place before Sumlin is publicly let go.

This is half true. It's true that posts are rare but at least one BMA reads the boards. Mostly premium though. I would assume others are similar.

There will be very few empty seats. It never happens and once renewals come out people will pay to avoid losing capital dollars and the seats themselves.

This Aggie football team reminds me of Rocky before his first fight with Clubber Lang. Has all the glitz, training facilities, music, apparel, etc yet gets destroyed by Clubber who trains old school.

I want our Aggie football team to be like the Rocky that trains in Siberia and beats Ivan Drago- no frills, total focus, hungry, stern coaching. Old school- like Coach Snyder's KSU program.

I read a post that said staff should delete this thread. Agree 100%. It's not productive; and such threads as this may be counterproductive. But staff won't delete this thread...and staff won't bother to enforce terms of use agreements. Too bad that those who pay good money to sponsor (including A&M Foundation, 12M and Association of Former Students) won't confront the owners of TexAgs with one simple request Enforce the terms of use agreement...or else. Implicit with sponsorship is acceptance if not approval. How can that be?

I realize a lot segment of A&M fans are blind loyal followers; however, even a % of these types are getting sick and tired of perpetual mediocrity. Bigger stadium, higher ticket prices demand a better on-field product.

If these men of influence can't hire a coach worth a damn, at least they should use a little bit of their $$ to hire a team of professionals to do a REAL coaching search and pick from those candidates.

I'm afraid the truth of the matter is that they just want to hire someone they are comfortable with so that they can have all the access to the program they want. Same thinking that Sumlin has when he hires and promotes his buddy for a position he has no business being in. The GOOD OL' BOY NETWORK has plagued A&M forever.

All on the backs of the loyal A&M fans who have to endure a lifetime of mediocrity with over-inflated ticket prices.

The good old boy network is not unique to A&M. It is literally the system used in every football program in the country. Always has been, always will be.

The idea that A&M is somehow the only school that has this type of hiring process is just fuggin stupid.

1. SUMLIN indeed is a garbage coach who deserves to be fired based on his performance. It's at the point where if you disagree with this, you either have pathetically low standards for this team or you have your head in the sand.
