I believe there was and still is an Italian place that served calzones as big as a table.

Loved the Silk Stocking. Fish Tacos were pretty gamey though. Famunda cheese enchiladas were awesome, only cost $1 for each.

We took BYOB too far when we had some beer in a keg left over and dragged it into the restaurant once.
Miss me some Los Norteños.

Oh, and Wings and More opened up when I was in college in the 80's and is thriving.
I believe there was a Florida lawsuit involved. The good guy won.Aggie said:William K. Klingaman said:

I worked at both Little Caesar's and El Chico when I was there in the 90's. Both are now shuttered, now thinking I may have been the common variable?LoudestWHOOP! said:
A few from the mid to late 1980s
Archy's Burgers - (Older brother would bring home a bag or 2 of burgers)
Flying Tomato Pizza - on Northgate, light crispy thick crust pizza
Double Dave's Pizza - Peproni Rolls, funny that I never set foot in the restaurant, it was only delivered
Fajita Rita's (Mother in law couldn't pronounce it correctly to save her life)
Arby's - I think it was 5 beef sandwiches for $5.
Little Caesar's pizza - lots of Pizza! Pizza! - close to Krenek Tap Road
Ate a lot of junk food in the MSC between playing Afterburner and Discs of Tron in the basement.
What was the Mexican food place out east of the 6 bypass from CS, in an old Spanish style home? Loved their Chimichangas!
Special Places
El Chico - (Yes, El Chico's) took my now wife there on a first date movie night after Top Gun. It was not a planned dinner, but we were starving and they were open.
Red Lobster - Took her on the second date, knew she said loved lobster, wanted her to have lobster, she orders chicken.
Cenares - Dinner before I proposed to her
Shiloh Inn - Wedding Rehearsal Dinner
