Old Timey Religion... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Old-Time_Religion

It was first heard sung by African-Americans and written down by Tillman when he attended a camp meeting in Lexington, South Carolina in 1889
It's Spurrier...

Could it be Richt?
He fulfills all of the Georgia clues and is "old timey" religious.

I guess he would have to be getting fired first.

I'm missing the yellow brick road connection with Spurrier.

Brain fart on my part??

I already have. It's HUGE. Some may not give credit for that - but its really all you needed to know to identify him. So, I have added two more clues that will show to any reasonable person who it is:

Follow the yellow brick road.
Aristotle and Plato.

Of course, its difficult to piece the puzzle together when you are looking at the back. But, once the front is revealed, it will be a "Doh" moment for many....

It's almost certainly Holgerson then.
Spav's old boss? FTS.

I'm going to make a HUGE prediction...

AggieRojo = mfbarnes

Edit: I'm not an "Outdoor board" expert, but looking back at the history of rojo and mfbarnes is pretty interesting. Seems they share an affinity for Kyle Field engineering and AR-15s.

Yeah. I'm done if that's the hire. I'll just watch Aggie football like it is a tv show with no expectations and no attachment. Totally apathetic.

In my opinion the Aggies got the best defensive coordinator in college football, in Chavis, which I never thought was possible. I just don't think there is an equivalent in the offensive coordinator search.

I wouldn't be surprised since he used to work for Sumlin, too.

I still think it is Mangino, and I am totally apathetic about that.

I'm not sure how Rojo could be so darn excited about Mangino though.

This is all assuming that Rojo has real information...because it is just more fun that way.

Yellow Brick Road = wizard
Aristotle and Plato were philosophers

It's Spurrier. Golf, wizard, teacher of philosophy, SEC knowledge...

Tuesday pressers will be a nationally televised event with Sumlin, Chief and Spurrier...thrown in Texags crew with Nealy and we could sell more subs than LHN.

Old timey religion = Air Raid Offense.
Philosophers of Air Raid = Mumme, Leach & Franklin, and then their students.
The only one from the pedigree tree that I thought was available and fit the HUGE clue was Mangino. However, if HUGE meant development of the Air Raid System, then Franklin could fit the bill, and he is currently OC at California.

Would Franklin go back to the SEC? They made him stop doing his system seminars when he was at Auburn. I would be hesitant to give that up again if I was him.

Well, if his boss has wandering eyes (as is the rumor) he's likely out of a job anyway???

I'm sticking with H ol GE rson. Aristotle (Spav) was one of Plato's (Holgerson) students.

Mangino, Holgerson (why? No idea) or Spurrier with Spav staying on as QB coach and McKinney hitting the bricks...

Seriously doubt that. Sumlin has been a spread guy for a long time.

And Kyler is not a pro-style QB by any stretch of the imagination.

Its SPURRIER. Follow Aggie Rojo's clues:

1. He's HUGE: Watch the Heisman House commercial with Spurrier looking at a fogged up mirror and the word HUGE is written on it.
2. Follow the Yellow Brick Road: The yellow brick road led to the wizard. Spurrier is the wizard that has won the national championship and ushered in the spread in the SEC. He could be just meaning that only in your dream would you think we could have the Ol' Ball Coach as our OC or he may just be referring to follow Rojo's clues.
3. Aristotle and Plato: Plato was Aristotle's mentor/teacher. Sumlin has stated several times that he considered Spurrier his mentor and wants to be like him.
4. That Old Timey Religion: Spurrier is the son of a minister and the song was originally written in South Carolina.
5. "its difficult to piece the puzzle together when you are looking at the back. But, once the front is revealed, it will be a "Doh" moment for many": Again, the Heisman House commercial with Spurrier, it shows him looking into the fogged mirror that says HUGE from the back, and then you see him from the front and know its the Ol' Ball Coach.

He shot down Mangino and Shottenheimer on page 43. Spurrier also said, "First of all I'm resigning, not retiring, let's get that all straight. I doubt I'll ever be a head coach again, but maybe coach high school or something." This thread was started by Rojo 12 days after Spurrier resigned.

So I believe it is very obvious Rojo is intimating that it is Spurrier. That's HUGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, my first thought as well...

Maybe a Pro style spread...lol.

Given all the rojo clues is does sound like he's talking about BS though.

We shall see I suppose if he is getting accurate intel.

with how much turmoil there's going to be on the coaching carousel this season why would he commit to an OC job here? Unless of course he no longer wants the stresses of HC duty and wants to phase out as an OC. If so we built the staff for the long haul with Chief and Spurrier.
