That is simply something texags is not going to report on. They probably know Spav is gone but they are not going to go out there and confirm it like 247 did.

They do not want to burn bridges.

I guess Spav could save his job with a brilliant performance over the next three games but I doubt it. We play at least two more decent defenses and those typically shut his offense down.

Spav may stay on staff in some capacity if he doesn't move on, but he won't be OC for the bowl game.

Sumlin has been spending too much time standing near him and talking into his own headset the last few games.

Looch still adamantly sticking to his guns that no decision will be made on Spav or a new OC until the end of the regular season

Definitely a stark contrast to what Rojo is claiming..

Isn't rojo saying he doesn't think it'll happen until the end of the season?
Rojo is saying the actual hire will be announced after LSU. But he's saying the decision is made and the hire is in progress already.

Looch is saying no such decision has been made yet.

I got ya, I just feel like when the inevitable change is made its going to be a pretty funny thing

Been watching Sumlin bird dog Spav as well.

I don't see how Sumlin can bring back Spav in any coaching capacity, especially QBs.

If I was a player and my coach was the OC/QB coach and then demoted to be only the QB coach... why would I want to listen to him? He was just demoted... and the QB runs the offense soooo.

Moorehead and Spav have also been close and talking much more than normal.

Hell, if I was one of the QB's, I would be mortified if Spav got demoted to ONLY handle my play on the field. Spav hasn't done ANY of it well. This offense is a straight up joke.

I am saying that the only thing left in the hiring process are these two things:

A) the signature on the dotted line
B) the fat lady singing after the SEC Championship

After the ink is dry, I am sure Looch will join Aristotle and Plato in welcoming A&M football's newest son with an article outlining the process.

It will be HUGE.

I already have. It's HUGE. Some may not give credit for that - but its really all you needed to know to identify him. So, I have added two more clues that will show to any reasonable person who it is:

Follow the yellow brick road.
Aristotle and Plato.

Of course, its difficult to piece the puzzle together when you are looking at the back. But, once the front is revealed, it will be a "Doh" moment for many....

Ha, well according to that article, I don't know if we want Schottenheimer. His resume looks good, but they have been awful this year offensively.

Why would the announcement have to wait until after the SEC championship game instead of after our last game against LSU?

why would we want Schottenheimer? they are inept without a top shelf RB in that offense.

My friends in low places tell me for PR purposes: maximum impact for A&M to make a HUGE announcement while all the talking heads are talking about the SEC Championship game and the playoffs. It will be just before or just after the SEC Championship game.

Mangino is the only one that makes sense with ALL of the clues:

Huge: He fat.

Yellow Brick Road: Best known as the former KU coach
