I expect you will have a new OC after this season is over. HUGE or otherwise.

That said, what makes you so sure that Sumlin would be calling a different game than Spav if he took over right now? Sumlin is an offensive guy, he has a headset, he hears the playcalls, and he could override them if he didn't like what he was hearing. You really think Spav is doing something contrary to Sumlin's wishes and Sumlin is just standing there letting it happen? I see no real reason to think those two aren't on the same page.
Because this is not what Sumlin's offense looked like at UH nor the first 2 years here. We RARELY throw the ball down field more than 3-4 times/game now. That's not the "air raid" offense Sumlin is known for. We get BS passes behind the LoS at the most inopportune times, over and over and over and over and over again. It's like Spav closes his eyes, picks a card, then crosses his fingers. I don't see how else the majority of those 3rd down plays get called. Mind numbing.

Wait for it. It's coming. Sumlin is very loyal to his coaches, as we would want him to be. He's not going to throw them under the bus -- but, he is going to have a new OC. Wait for it, there are a couple of complexities to be worked out. When you hear the name -- you will know the reason for the wait.

This attention is very important to you, isn't it?
Sumlin gave the guy every bit of the doubt he could. Now, there is no doubt in Sumlin's mind that there needs to be a change. But, he isn't going to do this publicly.

Yeah what Sumlin is going to do instead of "doing this publicly" is leak through other channels his intentions to fire or demote his close friend so that some clown can post it on TexAgs where it would get back to Spav. Yeah that's what's going on.

So you threw out Chavis name as a wild-ass guess and got lucky and now your trying to parlay your craps roll into some "inside guy" stature. Your rolling the dice again. You don't know anything. And if you did (you don't) you ought to shut up anyway.

I threw out Chavis name two days before he was announced because that was the phone call I received telling me the deal was done and the ink was dry.

I also privately told several folks via PM (who later vouched for it right here on TexAgs) two weeks before it was public that Daylon Mack had privately committed to the Chief in January. Daylon Mack and Kyler Murray were the "Curly Shuffle" event for recruiting day. I also named three other players that were strong leans for a total of five commitments no public at that time. Three signed, two didn't. The two that didn't were last minute losses -- once of which likes to tweet during half-time of his games that he'd rather be with the good guys.

It's important to you to keep a dumpster fire going, isn't it? If you are an Aggie -- shut up, sit down, and wait for Sumlin's move. If you are not an Aggie - just keep acting whining and pretending that you know something about football. Unless, of course, you can tell us which major college programs recruited your lack of skill, muscle, and speed out of high school...

Anyone can see that Spav's time is up here.

We did not just spend half a billion dollars on upgrading our facilities to be embarrassed in our house.

Nostradomas the OP is not. Anyone can point at the fence, predict a homerun, and be correct here.

If OP has actual real information, which he claims he does, let him zip the name in a file with encryption and place it on DropBox or something similar for all to see. He can release the password when the name is announced and we can see how full of **** he really is.

So if Kyler cussed at Spavital during the game, was Sumlin right next to them or did Spav go tell daddy Sumlin what Kyler did? If so....

As an Ol' Dame, I've never suffered from any dashed college football aspirations. And although hopeful, I knew enough about Chavis to know he's not a job hopper, has no aspirations to be a HC and just wants to do his job and get paid well for it. For him to leave LSU there had to be something else happening that he found intolerable.

And I'm ecstatic that LSU's loss ended up being our gain.

All that having been said, I just had the feeling Sumlin was pretty damn close to pulling the plug on Spav this weekend. Then he thought again and decided not to.

It's amazing that anyone could defend a player cursing out a coach. If you own a business, it would be like one of your associates telling you f-off.

If you work for a company, tell your CEO F-you.

You threw out a craps roll and got lucky. That is all. You throw out names as "leans" and "private committed" when they were already reported to be heavy leans. Again, that's just rolling the dice and then claiming you knew something.

I have no interest in keeping a dumpster fire going. In fact there isn't a dumpster fire at all. There is just adjustments that need to be made. It's important for you to feel like an "insider" isn't it? For what reason? Why would Sumlin allow his decisions to be leaked and then posted on TexAgs?

So lets see... you claim you "got the call" on Chavis after the ink was signed - two days before. Okay so now you are on here claiming you know who the new OC is going to be. So are you claiming the deal is inked and it's going to be announced in a matter of days? When is it going to be announced?

I can't wait for your excuse on not answering that question.

I'm guessing it's mangino. Devil in the details and all. Plus, he was just fired, so they owe him severance or contractual monies. If we hired him away, no such luck for him. But once he's paid, he's free game.

And Sumlin knows him well from OU. And he's well versed in running championship level spread offenses.

Just a guess.
