I reamed him over his recruiting predictions when they happened, but to be fair, predicting coaches is a lot easier because attention-hungry 17 year olds aren't exactly reliable. A decent chunk of them don't know how their recruiting is going to end until NSD.

Coaches are rational, analytical actors. Much, much different.

I have no idea whether there's anything to this. My guess is he has a friend who works in the AD or who's a fairly big booster, which would make his intel semi-reliable, but hardly infallible.

He was interviewed a few days after he resigned by ESPN ... he flat out said that he'd be interested in an OC job ...

We should go check out the WR Coaching thread. Tons of apparently out-of-work OCs and WR coaches over there. Bet they all would gotten schollies if their HS coach would have just promoted them from 4th string to starter.
