BTW, I got this helmet back in the day when you could just walk into the ATH Dept and ask to buy one. I was directed to go meet the equipment manager in a storage room under the first deck of Kyle to go get it. There were tons of them on a rack to choose from. I took the one with the least scratches. The good ones (i.e. those worn by the kickers/punters) were long gone. Just a bunch of OL/DL/LB ones left and many of them were beat to hell.

It is a panaramic shot of the entire main drill field, and in the far background you can see the cranes working on the "New Kyle Field" construction, just to the left of the old field house, Deware, if I remember correctly. My Grandfather is somewhere in the Zip Line, and he marked the spot where his Aunt's and Uncles Model T's are parked. I found it when we were cleaning out his house, after he passed away. I was still in High School. My mom had it framed, and gave to me for Christmas, my Senior Year in the Corps. Stuck in the frame is my ticket stub from T-Day (note no + 1) 1985. What an awesome night.

A piece of the last bonfire that I picked up while helping remove logs and all of the ticket stubs from that football season...that my gf put in a shadow box for me for Christmas this year...(i cried)

If it counts, I have some 1985 Bonfire ashes. The can they are in is very unique, as well, with all sorts of pictures and sayings. I can only guess that the university sold them some time after the t.u. game that year.

When tu was thinking of changing their mascot from the longhorn to the armadillo back in the early 70's, we printed up some "Dig "em Dillo's" bumper stickers; an orange aramdillo digging. I still have one.
