I wanted to bump this thread and update this post. I was able to (I think) diagnose the leak as the sunroof pan. For the short term I have fixed the leak by sealing the sunroof shut. Long term, I think I would just like to have the hole filled and get a sunroof-less headliner.

To that effect, I am starting to think about get the 80 painted and I thought there was a suggestion for paint a couple pages back but I couldn't find it. I'd like to have all the glass pulled, spoiler (and other various holes) filled, and any underlying rust take care of. I'd be interested in getting the frame and axles cleaned and painted, as well. Any recommendations in/around Houston? TIA.

app1 did a repaint a while back and I think he is/was in the Houston area.

I'd always wondered if there was an aftermarket option for those, seeing so many hotdog down a hallway nets on used cruisers. Just never took the time to search.

That's nice! Very similar to my 2011 that I got last year and love driving.

I love this car, but I have no space for it anymore. I'd keep it otherwise. Best car I have owned. It's a tank.

I bought mine from a neighbor's mom last year and after they drove it down from Ft Worth, he got a '17 LX570 for his wife. They claim that my 2011 w/ close to 200K miles is a better ride & feels more sturdy than their.

It does feel like closing a deep freezer door every time I get in.

How much stretch do they have? Can you only fit flat items in it or will it stretch enough for something larger, a water bottle for example?

I guess so, but I can't get over the turbocharged 4 cylinder. Give me the old V8 all day long.

The 2024 looks great, very nice design and nice retro look. But a 4 cylinder so no chance I will buy it. I'll stick with my 2021 V8.

I will test them out and report back, but I think there's enough stretch for larger items.
