Nice ride!
Finally home (again). LC of H got most of the gremlins worked out in the 80. Getting some driveline noises/vibration under deceleration at highway speeds that I'll need to figure out, though. I'm assuming some driveline geometry issues from the lift. In the immediate future I have replacement air vents for the current sad ones and a part to fix a wobbly passenger mirror.

My kids are always looking for ways to make money. Our house is on a straight shot to Kyle Field, so I told them to set up a lemonade stand and sell "Maroon" Kool-Aid as people come into town for the game.

So I have the official green light from Mrs. Pear to purchase an LC 200.
Wanting a '20-'21 with as low mileage and like-new condition as possible… but I'm really having difficulty rationalizing an over-MSRP price.
All else equal, How much "credit" would you give for a 200 being sold at a Toyota dealership as a TCUV/CPO with 7-yr 100k mile powertrain warranty? (Edit: like what price would you put on that?)
Help me justify some of this as much as possible please

The Land Cruiser premium exists because you will have forgotten about it when you rollover 400K miles with just preventative maintenance.

wait 6 months they will be $7-10k less
Powertrain is very unlikely to have any issues before 100k

Thanks… in regard to the premium that's what I'm telling (or selling) myself. Long term it's not that big a deal.
In regards to timing… and potential/likely reduction in prices.. 6-9 months from now would actually be perfect timing for me. I just get incredibly impatient when I want a new car.

Hadn't driven the 80 since this past weekend so went out to let her run for a little bit and found this. New windshield, sunroof drains [supposedly] cleared, and new sunroof weather stripping done at LC of Houston.
So frustrating. That's exactly where water was gathering in my 5th gen 4Runner. Mechanic said the sunroof drains were clear, but when it kept leaking I pulled the kickpanel myself & there was a filter at the end of the drain line that was clogged up.
Did it leak before the work at LC of Houston?
It did. When I picked it up, they said they tested both the sunroof/drains and windshield with a pressure washer and found no leaking. I have driven it in the rain a little, also with no noticeable leaks. I'm assuming getting dumped on yesterday/last night exposed the leaks. I am going to see if I can't figure it out.

Sunroofs were the worst idea. Hope you get the leaks figured out.
I'm hoping it's a simple fix. I don't really want to drop the headliner.

Is there something under the cowl that could also be plugged? I recently read of this sometimes happening in 200s.
I'm gonna check tonight. Only had time to pull it in the garage this morning.
