Family and I flew out of C last Friday at 2pm without issue. Parking Spot bus straight to terminal, TSA pre line had 5 people in it.

Flew back in to B, had to walk to the parking garage area where busses pick up, but otherwise no issues or obvious delays in getting in and out.
Someone will read this and think, "man, C doesn't sound that bad, I'm gonna give it a shot." Then they'll hit it at one of the bad times and be back on here to tell us how awful it is.

As I've said before, C/E is a dice roll. You may be ok if you catch it at the right time, or you may be completely screwed if you don't. If you're a gambler, go to C. If you prefer certainty, go to A/B. It really is that simple.
I realize it's a dice roll, but just felt necessary to highlight that it's not always an unmitigated disaster. I think the A/B advice is sound. If you get to C/E, and it's a sheet show, you can always head down to the "its a small world" train and scoot over to A/B.

The problem with this is the road getting into C/D/E is sometime the worse part of the horrible journey.....not just security. My thought is C/D/E will have a delay of 0-90 minutes. B will always have < 10 minute delay/wait and is many times close to zero wait with Pre/Clear. Yes you have to take some extra steps and a few minutes getting upstairs to the fast train back to C/E plane-side, but I need the exercise and like knowing the C/D/E bleep-show isn't a possibility.

I flew into C last night, which was freaking packed, and thanks to the advice here, I took the sky train to B. i called the Uber as soon as I got on the train and only had to wait a few minutes at the pickup spot. There was no traffic getting onto the Hardy Toll Road from there.

I take back everything thing I said about it not being that bad. I had to got to terminal C yesterday and it took me almost an hour to go the 1.3 miles from one of the cell phone lots to the terminal.
I mean there is a reason every time a thread like this pops up everyone recommends going to A/B and not messing with C. Yet people don't like to listen....guess they need to experience it themselves.

But, will going to B still be a fix when they "finish" the C/D/E work at the end of the year and then tear into B?

My guess is it will all be a disaster starting in January 2025!
flying out of C today but had Uber drop off at B. They've torn into B. The 2 north side circular gate areas are gone and the old ramp you used to drive up to get to B is blank land.

Traffic was fine. In the future, I'll probably Uber to the Marriott and take the underground Disney tram.

Me: Traffic sucks; take the train to terminal B
Him: With as long as the train will take, you can make it to C.
Me: Traffic is stopped.
Him: Well the train isn't moving, so just go to C.
Me: Okay.

*45 minutes later*

Me: Go upstairs to departures. That will save me at least 15 minutes of this *****
Him: I'm sorry I didn't go to terminal B.

I don't get the people who think the train from B to C/D/E takes significant time. That thing is at most 5-10 minutes. Now the downstairs train that was probably a leftover after an upgrade at Astroworld back in the 60s is slow as molasses. Seriously, that thing is embarrassing. But even still, it beats sitting outside in traffic and missing your flight.

Yeah, the train from C to B was very fast, like less than a minute, but the time to walk to the train & take the escalator up added a few minutes.

I assume the him was your husband?

I'd like to say that if this happened to me I'd say meet me at b or don't, but that's where I'll be. But reality is I have no idea as my wife and I would gladly pay $40 for an Uber vs making the other waste an hour of their lives to pick us up…..

I just get tired of landing early only to actually get off plane late because there are never any gates open to pull into. Happens. Every. Time. Including right now as I sit on plane….

Off plane. B parking exit was a disaster. It wasnt reading reservations or taking credit cards. So they had 3 lanes open and manually opening gate or making you try multiple credit cards before opening it for you. Hahaha. Those janky old machines needs to replaced with the mew terminals. Geez.

Newark apparently is short staffed in air traffic control…got to sit on the runway for 1.5 hours before taking off last night

So avoid that airport if possible as I doubt that is fixed quickly

Close. That train was made by Disney.

"The Subway is notable as the only WEDway people mover built by the Walt Disney Company outside of a Disney property. It uses much of the mechanical technology used by the PeopleMover, an attraction in the Magic Kingdom's Tomorrowland."

The most hi-tech thing any kid in Houston ever saw in 1981.

You at the airport, you wanted to see that train that drives itself, and you wanted to sit in the very front of it.

Only thing I would suggest copying from the Orlando airport - toll tag lane for parking payments. Would love that at IAH.

My wife and I went underground to catch the train from E to A last summer. The line was insane so we just walked along the side of the track and still managed to beat the train leaving at the same time. Granted, we were walking at a marathon pace, but still.

I don't know if frontier gives you status updates on why your flight is delayed like United, but I'd love to see the update for that. Your flight is delayed cause 5-0 hauled off your pilot.

Sunday evening, it took 47 minutes to exit the parking lot at Terminal C and another 15 minutes to exit the airport. Attendant told me she's heard complaints of more than 3 hours on a Sunday.
