Threads like this are why texags is great. People get extra stupid at the airport for some reason and with all the undesirables flying these days, doubly so. It's this wealth of knowledge that makes life just a little more enjoyable and easy to navigate, knowing how to quickly navigate around the functional ******s in society.

They need to just tear the whole place down and start over. Airports like Denver and Pittsburgh are sooo much better where you check in at a single large check-in and baggage terminal then train over to whatever airline terminal you're flying from.
You want to funnel 5 terminals worth of passengers through a single security checkpoint? Fly out of ATL and see how well that works out for you.
They have a new checkpoint "coming soon". The last mayor royally screwed up that entire project that was supposed to finish like 3 years ago.
Agreed. As someone that had to essentially commute to Denver weekly in the past, I despise that airport and the clusterf security. ATL as well..

I haven't flow through DEN that much but have always gotten through in a pretty timely fashion. IAH is always a mess it seems if you do not have clear\pre-check.
Is the consensus that Terminal C is looking ok? Boarding time is at 7:30am tomorrow. I already get to airports early by nature but want to make sure I'm not having to cross terminals, it has been so long since I've been to IAH.
Plan is for Uber to drop us off.
Layover in Denver but right now connecting flight is only two gates away so let's hope it stays that way!

Denver is much better than the Houston airports.
That early should be fine, especially if you arrive early. Planning Spring Break vacation now...checked bags and kids...needless to say only considering the first flight out that morning.

Flew out Saturday AM around 930. Easy parking in garage and no line at Terminal C. No checked bags.

Terminal A is now the way to go. Did it last week and today with the same experience. 'A' garage is EMPTY and TSA pre-check line I've just walked up. It's really been a better experience than when B was still open.

Agreed that A is the way to go for the time being. My wife had an afternoon flight today. Parked in between A-B on the 3rd level and was at her C gate in about 30 minutes. A little bit longer than the normal B-route, but better than C.

Has anybody navigated picking someone up from B since they closed the lobby? Do they still have an arrivals pickup area for B or is that closed too? Picking up my mom next week and I assume she's going to land at B. She's a small town lady and usually gets turned around and lost at IAH. Trying to figure out the best way to direct her through the mess with the least amount of pain!
I landed at B last week and they had signs for any pickups (offsite parking, rental cars, uber or just regular cars) had to be at C. So she'll have to take the train over to C and then head through baggage claim

She can train over to A if she doesn't have bags checked, otherwise has to go to C. Unfortunately no other options at the moment that don't involve a train ride.
