Bull***** A simple run through of every area covered by CP, what is impeding current efforts to get power back, etc, would go a massive way.
To what? It changes absolutely nothing they haven't already communicated. Total people out of power and how many each day they plan to re-energize.
News flash. They aren't saying much because it's all changing based on new information and priority every hour. Only a fool would do that to immediately have the public rub it in their face when it immediately becomes outdated and inaccurate information.
Give actual information like:
"Heights area. We have completed our assessment and have power up to an estimated xx%. The challenges we are facing with the remaining are X, Y, and Z, and we are currently addressing X & Y by doing <insert> and are estimating to have that completed by tomorrow. That will allow another xx% to come on board.
Moving to the Humble area, we are addressing the large number of trees that are needing to be removed before crews can assess what repairs need to be made. We have 4 crews working the area removing trees and anticipate having trees removed by Saturday morning..."
That type of communication will go a long way. More corporate HR approved bullchit that they've been feeding us? Yeah, that won't do anything.
100%
just terrible communications from CP and the county judge
Under promise, over deliver.
If it is going to take until Monday or Tuesday to get parts for a neighborhood, tell them they won't have power until Wednesday and if it gets up earlier, they will be thrilled, but it gives them something to plan for.
Same thing happened in May. No estimate at all.
