At 4PM Hobby Airport has tied it’s all-time high of 108°. Bush is also at 108°. This is the first time in recorded history Bush Airport has hit 108° on at least 3 days in a given year. Storms are firing up north of Houston and pushing toward the city.

Yep. 103 in Cypress. Accuweather app says it's going to rain in 5 minutes but I'll believe it when it happens. It's hazy from the wind blowing through the dirt in everyone's dead yard.

Got enough here to see water running off the rain gutter for the first time in a very long time.

Nearest Harris County gauge says .04

Looks like that's the first amount to register on that rain gauge since there was .4 on July 7.

We didn't get any rain today, but it lowered the temps which was nice. We got rain twice this week, so I can't complain too much.

I got a storm for about 15 minutes in the Woodlands last night. It's so dry that you couldn't even tell we got a drop this morning.

Keep getting teased out here in Cypress...got dark and extremely windy in a matter of minutes last night and I was sure we'd finally at least get a light shower. Nada. Thursday evening we were surrounded by storms on all sides and I was thankful we were about to get pounded. Nada.

Something similar to the Aggie Dome of the past few summers seems to be right above my house. We can't even get the lightest sprinkle, with thunderstorms all around us.

Damn, if you would have told me 15 years ago that I would care so much about rain/my lawn, I would have b8tch slapped myself. Maybe I should just check out.

BG Knocc - I feel your pain. We're in Cypress as well and the wind storm that kicked up last night was huge. The radar suggested big things headed our way and then it just vanished or went east. Dying for some rain out here. And today doesn't sound promising.
